How to prepare for an upcoming LIC IPO?

In order to apply for the LIC IPO, LIC policyholders must fall under the “Policyholder” category. The below options are only for policyholders.

Furthermore, policyholders must have a Demat account.

If you are not a LIC policyholder, You can still apply for the IPO by selecting the relevant investment category (retail or institutional).

Now, for Policyholders

Follow these steps to check the status of your PAN card and LIC insurance link online:

1] Visit to the LIC India website –  linkpan.licindia.in/UIDSeedingWebApp/getPolicyPANStatus

2] Enter your policy number;

3] Enter date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy);

 4] Enter Your Pan Card number;

5] Enter CAPTCHA; and

 6] Click ‘Submit’.

The status of your LIC PAN linking will be displayed on your screen. In case your PAN is not linked to your life insurance policy, you will be prompted to ‘click here to register your PAN’ , click on the link and you will be redirected to a new screen.

To link your LIC policy to your Pan Card, follow these steps:

To link their PAN card with their LIC policy, an individual must visit the LIC India website and follow the steps mentioned below:

Follow the steps below to complete this:

1) Sign in to the above link, provided by LIC of India – linkpan.licindia.in/UIDSeedingWebApp/home?

2] Enter your date of birth (Should be as per Pan Card);

3] Choose your gender;

 4] Enter your email address;

5] Fill up your PAN details;

 6] Enter your full name as per your PAN;

7] Enter your phone number;

8) Enter policy number; 

9) Click on disclaimer –  “I hereby submit my PAN is issued by Income Tax Department, Government of India and voluntarily give my consent to link my PAN to all my LIC Policies mentioned above. I also give consent for verification of my PAN with Income Tax Department through DigiLocker. LIC of India has informed me that my PAN details would only be used for validation, e-KYC purpose, and for all service aspects related to LIC of India. I will not hold LIC of India or any of its officials responsible in case of any incorrect information provided by me. I also authorize LIC to use my mobile number and email id as mentioned above for sending communications.”

9)  Enter CAPTCHA

10) Click on ‘Get OTP’ and submit; 

11) An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number you have provided for the policy;

12) Submit the OTP received on your mobile number;

13) The confirmation of the PAN LIC policy link request will appear on the computer screen.
